Our CEO shared this message earlier today: "Airspace’s goal is to become the most trusted delivery network the world has ever seen, even during a crisis like we face today. With the coronavirus continuing to impact so many businesses, I wanted to personally assure all of our customers that Airspace will be 100% operational during this crisis, that we will not be increasing our rates, and that we will not be adding a corona surcharge to any of our invoices. We are all in this together and we will not seek to take advantage of this horrible situation and will remain dedicated to delivering every single shipment in a timely manner at a reasonable and consistent price."

03/25/2020 11:45am PST: At this time, more than 9,000 passenger flights have been canceled or rerouted due to airline closures across the nation. While more flights paths continue to be delayed or canceled, the Airspace Platform is the best way to mitigate risk as our system is directly integrated with both FlightAware and OAG and it is rerouting impacted shipments in real-time. Airspace has ensured contingency plans to continue to offer global shipping options for all of our customers during this outbreak.
03/19/2020 12:32pm PST: Southwest Airlines has placed an embargo for MDW and LAS due to heavy cancellation with the FAA Tower. Delta is making additional changes to its Latin American, Caribbean and trans-Atlantic network following the announcements of more government travel restrictions in these regions and will not operate any flights to its Paris hub during the travel restriction period. While United does not plan to suspend service to any single U.S. city now - with the exception of Mammoth Lakes, CA - the airline is closely monitoring demand as well as changes in state and local curfews and government restrictions across the U.S. and will adjust its schedule accordingly. United has announced an approximately 50% cut in capacity for April and May, and expect these deep cuts to extend into the summer travel period.
03/17/2020 10:12am PST: Southwest Airlines has announced that they will be reducing their flights by 20% beginning April 14th through June 5th. At this time Airspace does not know what flights or markets will be affected. Once more information becomes available we will provide an update.
03/13/2020 7:09am PST: Airspace has confirmed that the Presidential proclamation does not and will not affect cargo; however we do want to prepare our customers for possible longer transit times as all carriers flights are severely reduced. On a good note, the WHO reports that it is safe to receive a package from an area where COVID-19 has been reported. The likelihood of an infected person contaminating commercial goods is low and the risk of catching the virus that causes COVID-19 from a package that has been moved, travelled, and exposed to different conditions and temperature is also low.
03/12/2020 1:15pm PST: Airspace is working closely with all of our airline partners. The following have provided an update on future routing changes and our system will be using these new flight paths to provide the best routing for every international shipment. Lufthansa Group passenger airlines will continue to fly to the USA: Chicago, Newark, and Washington on a very restricted flight schedule. Freighters are not impacted and will continue to operate, and Lufthansa will be adding additional freighter aircraft between Frankfurt and their main gateways. Delta Cargo has suspended multiple flight paths between the U.S. and Europe.
03/12/2020 8:20am PST: At this time, our overseas agents, with the exception of those in Italy and Siberia, are running their normal operations. Additionally, most scheduled US-bound passenger flights continue to run uninterrupted in the immediate wake of the announcement. We will continue to closely monitor for any changes in Europe and elsewhere, as we’ve done since the beginning of the outbreak. If you have any questions regarding an active or pending shipment, do not hesitate to reach out: firstname.lastname@example.org | 855-524-7772.
03/11/2020 6:38pm PST: At this time, Airspace is aware of a travel ban for all imports and exports out of Europe (with the exclusion of Britain) and we are taking every precaution to ensure all international shipments are delivered promptly. We will be monitoring the domestic flight restrictions as many airlines have already started to cut 3-5% of their domestic flights as well.
03/11/2020 11:51am PST: Due to COVID-19, Airspace Technologies is actively monitoring the flight paths of all global shipments. As of right now, the Airspace global network has not been impacted by the COVID-19. Airspace is using extreme caution when booking and accepting shipments within the impacted areas to ensure operational excellence. If you have any questions, please reach out to the Operations team directly and we will assist: 855-524-7772.
